StarWars.com has announced Tokyopop’s new Star Wars Manga.

Darth Vader from Tokyopop's Star Wars MangaThe longest story in the collection is by Shin-Ichi Hiromoto. “Vader and Tao” takes place shortly after the Battle of Yavin, as Vader is determined to find the identity of the Rebel who destroyed the Death Star. We discover that the Dark Lord has been secretly fostering an apprentice of his own, the youngster named Tao.

An intrepid Jawa salvages some very valuable relics from the deserts of Tatooine, including an X-wing fighter and a TIE fighter, in a 24-page caper by Hitoshi Ariga.

In “The Son of Jar Jar Binks” by artist Formalin, a lithe Gungan infiltrator wreaks havoc against would-be Imperial captors led by Darth Vader.

The Fri Fri Company offers a series of very graphical Anakin illustrations as well as the text of “Letters to Anakin,” the young Podracer champion who has earned a fan following.

Nakatsuka pits the droid duo C-3PO and R2-D2 against Darth Vader; the golden droid learns the horrible truth of his parentage, while Artoo battles the Dark Lord in a lightsaber duel no one ever expected to see.

NAO chronicles the story of a trio of Jedi Younglings caught in the Clone Wars and their encounter with the heroic Anakin Skywalker.

Yasushi Nirasawa spins a tale of General Grievous, on his mission to the toxic world of Dica to hunt down Force-using prey.

Brian Ueda gets inside Vader’s deepest thoughts at the pivotal moment he turns against the Emperor in his retelling of the climax of Return of the Jedi.

These all sound awesome! Too bad it seems like they won’t hit the states!
